This audio still needs to be thouroughly analyized, but seems to be a recording of some type of creature making an inexplicable moaning/wailing sound. Note the dogs barking increases in ferocity in response to the creatures vocalizations.
This recording is quite consistent with several verified audio recordings of Bigfoot.
This is sooooooo clearly a Bigfoot howling in the distance, which explains the dog barking
Sounds like the Moaning Howl from Columbiana, OH. It’s a pretty good distance, but I believe it could have made it to the Big Easy since that recording.
it’s sounds the same as a recording from Ohio: http://www.bfro.net/avevid/mjm/Howl.mp3
Thanks for your fieldwork. That howl recording is very similar to the one that can be found on BFRO.com.
PRECISELY……..it IS the Ohio recording. I’m the one that brought it to the table as a REFERENCE to what a friend of mine heard in northwestern Louisiana (Bodcau WMA) 1) nowhere NEAR Lafayette and 2) I was VERY CLEAR in my email that I was supplying this recording as such to describe what a friend of mine heard. Now there’s people that apparently can’t read and making ME look like an idiot. GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT. I am MORE than happy to supply the original email conversation with Xavier.
Now….anything else? -j
I wanted to get the RSS-Feed but it displays me some xml errors…
Dr Xavier Jenks is a fictional personality, a made up character, part of the joke… there is NO Dr. Xavier Jenks, PhD. “His” email address is checked at random by the men behind the curtain. Different people pretended to be Dr. Jenks and Head Researcher Gabriel Cunningham on radio and tv appearances. N.O.B.S. is a well orchestrated hoax and Bigfoot is not real. Come on.
Of course it isn’t real….however, the joy of debunking such “serious” reports is worth while. It IS funny how nobody has pointed out that (like so many other “Bigfoot”) that recording is 1) of a Moose and 2) therefore not likely from Ohio.
Just thought I’d play along, but I suppose things got misconstrued and blown out of proportion. I did not know that Xavier wasn’t a real name though…..I didn’t give that much thought. As fsr as the NOLA organization being a hoax, that is obvious, but there ARE other nation-wide organizations that apparently take this thing quite seriously.
As my resume dictates, I have spent enough time working in the field AND being a published author on multiple taxa to know very well and logically there is no such animal. I doubt seriously I would have been seriously considered and hired for any of the multiple biological and ecological organizations I have (and will be) worked for, had I been a serious believer and/or suppoter of such an impossibility.
Thanks though. -j
